The rune for today is Eihwaz. It is the symbol for yew tree, but also carries endurance and strength, steadfastness. The yew tree is a versatile tree that was used for weapons and furniture, while still being capable of thriving regardless the season or access to sunlight. With this in mind, let's dive into what this rune means for love, career, and life.
In love, the yew tree is resilience. Love will take you on some twists and turns, but if you remain steady in your devotion, you'll find that love can transform and thrive through the darkest of times. As you endeavor towards love or sustain a lasting love, remember that like the cycles of seasons, love will go through the same. Bright, sunny, happy days, but also dim, dark, sad days. To be able to last the test of time, you'll need to be able to endure every season.
For career, Eihwaz says something a little different. You may feel like giving up. You may feel like you have learned all you need to learn. You may feel like this career has taught you everything you need to know to move on to something bigger and better. However, this rune is encouraging you to remain steadfast. Wait it out. See what more can be gleaned. If you stay a while longer, a new lesson could be learned about yourself or your abilities. So persevere, there is more to gain from staying put.
With life, this rune shares its ancient wisdom through endurance. Survival can be taxing, but you can find ways to thrive in spite of the challenges you face. Like the sun and moon, there will be times where you shine and revel in the glory of your accomplishments, but there is always going to come a dark night that brings shame through failure. Let this encourage you regardless of where you are today. If in the darkness, hold on, a brighter day is on the horizon. If in light, enjoy it now as darkness may soon arrive to remind you of your failures and/or mortality.
Taking this thought with us, we'll move on to our tarot spread for the day.

Present - Reversed Queen of Swords
Future - Reversed Queen of Pentacles
Obstacle - Reversed The Wheel of Fortune
Solution - Reversed Four of Cups
Your past is speaking to unused talents and poor planning. The present mentions being cold-hearted or bitter. Your future warns of a lack of purpose. The obstacle is bad karma or luck. Your solution is to end stagnation and move forward.
With the rune and the tarot spread, there is a surprisingly succinct message here. You've gone through life with untapped potential that has left you bitter and will continue to plague you with a lack of purpose. This run of bad luck and negativity must be put behind you and you must move forward. You must flip the script and find a way to thrive where you are, persevere, endure, and find a way to bend without breaking regardless of your season of life. If you stay focused on your bad luck, unused talents, and a faltering outlook, then you will remain in the darkness until you become your own light at the end of the tunnel.
May light and love always find you to help you bend without breaking! ~Solace
