The eve before a full moon has the witchy juices flowing today.  If you were to call me a witch, I'd be eclectic.  But I resonate more with the idea that I'm spiritual.  Something different than Christian, but also different than a witch.

My faith has always grounded me.  I've known, in my heart of hearts that there is something bigger out there.  Whether you call it God or some other god or goddess, it is the driving force behind creation.  Could that driving force be science?  I'm open to the possibilities.  What it all comes down to is that I've seen things, felt things, and heard things that make me think there is something that moves beyond the tangible.  There is something spiritual, with energy, souls, or static, beyond what can be seen, touched, or heard.

That was part of what prompted me on this journey to begin working on psychic mediumship with herbalism as its sidekick.  Nature has a wonderful way of providing both spiritual and physical healing to the soul.  I recently read an article about the UK opening its first ever, open air intensive care ward (you can find that here).  There is something very healing about being out in the open air and around growing things.

Another part of what's driving my sudden desire to really dive into my spiritual gifts is that I just recently found myself without work.  I've got many irons in the fire and I'm unsure if one or any of them will pan out for me, but I'm still trying.  While I'm doing that, I'm falling head first into making myself whole.  And I'm inviting people to join me on that journey.  Whoever wants to come along.

Today, on the eve of a full moon, there is a plan to spend time in nature, enjoying a bonfire, burning herbs for protection, cleansing, and prosperity.  There are jars of water on my windowsill soaking in the full moon energy.  Moon water is great for energy work.  For cleansing and for protection, it can be used alongside cinnamon and lavender, sage and mint.  Many options exist to use herbs to heal ourselves physically and spiritually.  And that's the focus of this journey.  Physical and spiritual wellbeing.
