The end of the first full week of July is upon us. This Friday, July 10, 2026 has our Rune of the Day being Ehwaz, or Horse. Obviously, with horse there are a multitude of understandings. It can symbolize travel or companionship. It can mean continuing on a path you've started. And it can mean making yourself open to the possibilities of a new friend in an unexpected location.
For me today, this is screaming partnership, but we'll get to some of that later.
In love, Ehwaz is both a journey and a companion. There is someone that you are on a journey with and that journey could be brand new, well under way, or coming to a close. Regardless, Ehwaz is telling you today to pay attention to your surroundings, including your companion. Healthy relationships, this means making the extra effort to let your partner know you have their back. In relationships that need some work, this could mean to watch for journeys your partner may be taking without you.
Where careers are concerned, Ehwaz indicates that if a new chapter is beginning, to enjoy it. If you are happy in a career you've been in for a while, maybe make a new friend at work, befriend a new hire or go meet a co-worker. Today is a day to get around and make connections. And if you are nearing the end of your time with an employer, it's time to cement the relationships you want to hold onto as you move on to your next role.
Personally, this is pushing individuals to connect with other people. Make a connection that will walk with you on whatever journey you are facing. If it's health, make friends with a nurse, doctor, or fellow patient. If it's financial, reach out to a financially responsible friend or meet a finance advisor. If it's spiritual, seek like minded individuals. Today is a day to journey towards connections. There is strength in numbers.
Onto to today's tarot cards. I branched out and did three separate pulls with different intentions for each. The first was my normal five card spread (past, present, future, obstacle, & solution). The second was a four card, decision making spread (situation, option one, option two, best of the options). And the third was a six card spread with the focus on an ancestral communication (ancestor, message one & two, gift, what to release, & how to keep the connection open).

My past was stagnant and at times quite non-progressive. My present is full of joy, but could use more manifestation, abundance, and wishes fulfilled. The future speaks to successes, vitality, growth, and contentment (including in my marriage). The obstacle I face, however is equity, fairness, and the results that stem from cause & effect. The solution is to come to conclusions, make peace with them, and begin the process of moving on.

The situation indicates a need to slow down and avoid recklessness. The first option is to continue to push forward. The second option is to let go of hardship and make room for growth. And the best option indicates I need to accept what is, move on, and plan or be smart.

The ancestor is a male ancestor (I'm assuming my paternal grandfather who tends to check in from time to time). The first message combined with the second message indicates that I need to celebrate the time I have with family as we are all aging and there will come a day where I'm lonely or unhappy with the relationships I have. The gift indicates that I'm blessed with being able to make personal goals and then align myself to pursue those goals. The connection to this ancestor will be found in my ability to avoid pushing others and myself too hard and instead making plans for the future. He'll be there through it all and that gives me great comfort.
